Music Together teachers completed the Music Together teacher training course and participate regularly in professional development workshops to stay updated in early childhood music education. Mia, along with directors and teachers in over 3000 Music Together locations and 40 countries worldwide, finds deep satisfaction in sharing our knowledge, skills and passion for music.
Meet Chih-Suei (Mia) Shaw, Center Director/Teacher
Chih-Suei (Mia) Shaw
Music has always played an important role in Mia's life. She grew up playing piano and flute, to eventually become a classically trained musician and music educator. During her studies she obtained a BA in Flute Performance in Taiwan and a DPhil in Music at the University of Oxford, UK. Mia first experienced the joy of Music Together classes as a parent, taking part with her then 1 year old daughter. Being impressed by how the program nurtured musical progress in her own child, Mia went on to complete the training and become herself a Music Together teacher, to bring the joy of music making to other families.
