Chih-Suei (Mia) Shaw
Music has always played an important role in Mia’s life. Having grown up playing the piano and flute, she went on to become a classically trained musician and music educator. She holds a BA in Flute Performance from Taiwan and a DPhil in Music from the University of Oxford, UK.
Mia’s journey with Music Together began when she joined a class as a parent with her one-year-old daughter. Inspired by the joy of making music together and amazed by how the program nurtured her daughter’s musical development, Mia decided to complete the Music Together teacher training herself.
Today, she is passionate about sharing the joy of music-making with other families, helping children and their grown-ups discover, explore, and grow together through music.
